SEGMENTS: Kimwaskiteawastery

I can assure you this game is NOT a virus; it is a false positive.

Created for the Bullet Hell Game Jam.  A reboot of the SEGMENTS series. Criticism is greatly appreciated as I plan to release a non-game-jam improved version of this game and possibly a sequel of some kind may be coming eventually. This game is based off of characters created by Vanouper.

About:

Play as Kimwaskiteawastery (aka Kim), the first segment god, as he attempts to atone for his past mistakes and protect the Segment Realm against a full-scale invasion by the power-hungry Dragon Master and the evil segment god of violence, Lance. An invasion which he indirectly caused.

Fight against hordes of monsters and dragons summoned by the Dragon Master and Lance while avoiding tons of projectiles as you advance through seven levels, trying to get the highest score. The game takes about 15 minutes to complete if you do a flawless run.

Controls:

Press the Space Key to start game

Use the Arrow Keys to move

Press the Z key to attack

Press the X key to slow down for more precise dodges

Press the SHIFT key to use a special move

Press the P key to pause

Skill Levels:

There are six different skill levels:

Very Easy - For players new to video games. You get 10 HP, enemies spawn a lot less frequently, the timer is 2x quicker for both the progression bar and special bar, and very small amounts of slow projectiles are only fired by bosses. This mode has no score multiplier.

Easy - For players new to bullet hell. You get 5 HP, enemies spawn less frequently, some projectiles fire slower, and enemies fire less projectiles.

Moderate - For players who are familiar with bullet-hell. The recommended and intended skill level. You get 5 HP, enemies spawn at normal rates, projectiles fire at normal rates, and fire a normal number of projectiles. 

Hard - For players who are experts at bullet-hell. You get 5 HP, enemies spawn more frequently, projectiles get a bit faster, and enemies fire projectiles quickly.

Very Hard - For players who are god-like at bullet-hell. You get 3 HP, enemies spawn a lot more frequently, projectiles are faster, and enemies fire projectiles a lot more quickly. This mode has double score multiplier.

Segment - For players who like absolutely unfair games. Seriously, barely any balancing went into this mode. I would NOT recommend this difficulty to played on the first playthrough, second playthrough, or even twentieth playthrough. Be prepared for the possibility of impossibility. You get 1 HP and you get bombarded with enemies and lightning-fast projectiles. Good luck. This mode has triple score multiplier. Seriously, though, this mode is basically just a joke difficulty I'm not even 100% sure if it's possible. The only thing going for it is that barely any of the bullets are faster than the player so theoretically they should be possible to avoid.

Theme:

The theme of consequences is woven both into story and gameplay. A major aspect of the story is Kim's life as an accidental villain and the after-effects of it. If you over-use Kim's special move (more than five times,) your bonus score is divided by two. Your score also must be over 200,000 to access Lance's Throne Room. If you don't reach this score Lance wins, and you have to restart the game.

Misc:

If you complete the game on Very Hard difficulty or above, you will get access to 3 secret bosses bound to challenge even the best bullet-hell players. If you can somehow beat them all with video proof, I will personally update the game with your username in the credits. These bosses are obviously non-canon, and they take place in an alternate universe.
